WI - Cormorant Research Group | The Bulletin - No. 3, December 1998 | Original papers | |
EDITORIAL
It is a pleasure for us to present hereby the third volume of the Wetlands International Cormorant Research Group Bulletin. Due to many time-consuming occupations of both editors, it unfortunately proved impossible to publish this volume earlier, but partly thanks to this delay we have this time been able to include some original papers on some other species of cormorant than merely Phalacrocorax carbo and from some less-known areas of the world (e.g. South America).
News will also be provided from the most recent European and world-wide activities of the Cormorant Research Group (CRG), two remarkable PhD theses on cormorants are announced and briefly commented on and some requests for information are being made.
We sincerely hope that this issue will be at least as readable, entertaining and worthwhile as its two predecessors and that its contents will stimulate ever more cormorant workers to make their work, or summaries of it, available to their colleagues by means of this bulletin in the following issues.
